Terms of Service

1. Eligibility & availability

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase. Our content is written for an adult audience.

The service is offered to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and the United States. We do not offer, market, or sell the service to residents of Quebec. If a purchase is identified as originating from a Quebec resident, we will cancel and refund it.

2. The service

Made for Mystery generates personalized, print-at-home mystery party kits based on the details you provide. You build and preview for free and pay to unlock the full kit.

3. Your inputs & acceptable use

You are responsible for the information you enter. If you provide details about your guests, you confirm you are permitted to do so. You agree not to enter unlawful, infringing, hateful, or otherwise abusive content, and not to misuse or attempt to disrupt the service. We may refuse or terminate service for misuse.

4. Your license to the kit

When you purchase a kit, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use and print it for your own private event. Using a kit for a commercial, ticketed, paid-admission, or fundraising event requires a separate license — contact us at support@madeformystery.com.

5. Our intellectual property

The platform, the generation engine, templates, themes, and branding remain our property. These terms don't transfer any rights in them to you beyond the license above.

6. Generated content

Your kit is produced by our automated mystery-generation engine and provided “as is.”We don't guarantee it is unique, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and you should review your kit before your event. Any resemblance between generated characters and real people is unintentional.

7. Pricing, payment & refunds

Prices are shown at checkout and may change. Payment is processed by Stripe; applicable taxes may be added. Refunds are governed by our Guarantee & Refund Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The service and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service or a kit is limited to the amount you paid for that kit. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your inputs, your use of a kit, or your breach of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
