It's 1924. Below a laundry on South Wabash, The Black Cat Speakeasy pours the best gin and the hottest jazz in Chicago — until the band stops cold and a club regular turns up dead in the back booth. Every guest is in on the racket: a crime boss, a torch singer, a federal agent who shouldn't be within a mile of the place. One of them is a killer. Tonight your friends find out who.

Welcome to 1924. Prohibition is the law, so the booze is illegal, the doors are locked, and the password matters. Speak the slang: a “flapper” is a fashionable young woman, “hooch” or “giggle water” is liquor, “the bee’s knees” is the best of the best, a “copper” is a cop, and “dewdropper” is a layabout. Etiquette: men in suits and hats, women in beaded dresses and bobs; you tip the band, you don’t ask a man his business, and you never, ever talk to the feds. The mood is glamorous and dangerous — jazz on the stage, schemes in the booths.
Count your guests only — not yourself, anywhere from 6 to 32. Want to play too? There's an option below once you pick a number.
